Website opt-in
Customers may request dumpster rental or junk-removal service without agreeing to receive text messages. The SMS checkbox is separate from any required acknowledgement, is optional, and is unchecked by default.
Exact customer-facing SMS consent control
Important: The control above is a public copy of the exact consent language used in the online request flow. Checking it on this information page does not submit a request or enroll a phone number.
Phone or in-person opt-in
When a customer requests text updates by phone or in person, staff must read the following disclosure before recording consent. Silence, a prior business relationship, or providing a phone number alone is not treated as SMS consent.
Exact staff script
“May Marvin’s Hauling send transactional text messages to this mobile number about your quote, booking, delivery, pickup, service updates, and one post-service review request? Message frequency varies, typically 1–6 messages per booked service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy are available at marvinshauling.com.”
Staff records the customer’s affirmative response, the date and time, the phone number, the consent source, and consent language version MH-SMS-CONSENT-v1. If the customer does not affirmatively agree, SMS consent remains false.
